Gary G. Hoag, PhD

Gary G. Hoag (Ph.D. New Testament – Trinity College, Bristol, UK) is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ. He serves as President / CEO of the international entity launched by ECFA, Global Trust Partners. GTP multiplies disciples of faithful administration and mobilizes peer accountability groups to increase gospel participation in every nation. He’s known widely as the Generosity Monk as he’s dedicated his life to encouraging Christian generosity and has posted a daily meditation for more than ten years.

Debbie Swindoll

Debbie Swindoll loves to recognize how God integrates the different roles in our lives to equip us for ministry. Growing up in the church, being a wife, mother and grandmother, studying spiritual formation and training as a spiritual director all influence her perspective as she envisions and develops Grafted Life’s formation studies. Alongside her work at Grafted Life, Debbie writes, speaks, and consults on issues of relational theology and spiritual leadership and ministers as a spiritual director for both individuals and groups. Building strong relationships with God and others has become the passion of Debbie’s life. She and Curt have been married since 1981 and enjoy their relationships with their adult children and growing grandbabies. Debbie received her training in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Talbot’s Institute for Spiritual Formation at Biola University, completing her degree in 2007.

Fred Smith

Fred Smith is a graduate of Denver University and Harvard Divinity School. Fred spent several years as teacher and administrator at Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina and The Stony Brook School in New York before moving to Tyler and joining Bob Buford in founding Leadership Network, where he served as President for 12 years. Fred was also the Founder of Fourth Partner, a local foundation that was focused on philanthropy and community development within the East Texas area. Additionally, Fred is the Founder and President of The Gathering, connecting an international community of givers focused on the support of Christian Ministries. His good friend Steve Garber of The Washington Institute has said this about Fred’s work. “…he has read widely and cared deeply, resisting the easy black-and-white responses that most of us are all-too-willing to live with…his personal beliefs do not find a home in the partisan politics we know so well. And over time, he has earned the trust of good people all over the country.” Despite a lifetime of accomplishment, Fred will tell you his true vocation is that of a Sunday School teacher and it is this role for which he would most like to be remembered. Fred and his wife, Carol, have two grown daughters and a son-in-law. They also have three well-loved grandchildren.

Scott Talbot has over 30 years of experience in the field of financial planning, including 20+ years in planned giving. Other organizations with which Scott served include Campus Crusade for Christ, where he provided leadership to a team of gift planners and assisted ministry partners with their plans. Previous to that, he served as Gift and Estate Design Specialist in the northeastern region of the United States with In Touch Ministries. Scott has earned the designations of Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Financial Consultant®, and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®. In addition, he is a Bible college and seminary graduate. Scott is a native of southeastern Pennsylvania but now resides in Dallas, TX. He is married to Susan, and they have a son and daughter-in-law—Austen and Julia—who currently live in Tokyo.
